MENTORS NEEDED! About 40 children, ages 6-14, all from single parent families are in need of a mentor. Mentors must be 18 ys of age or older. Mentors are people who will listen and spend time with a child or teen and incorporate them into their normal activities.

The Minot Commissions on Aging needs volunteers to assist with preparing for Meals on Wheels delivery from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Monday thru Friday and also volunteers needed to deliver Meals on Wheels starting at 11 a.m. Monday thru Friday.

The goal of this agency is to Empower Seniors to Prevent Healthcare Fraud. Volunteers are needed to perform clerical work, community events management (assist by helping set up and tear down, present brieifngs) and disseminate ND SMP information.

The Mid-Dakota Chapter of the American Red Cross needs volunteers to staff the phone lines. The chapter is taking calls as part of the Response Center Network. Within hours of a major disaster, the American public can get immediate disaster-related assistance by calling the Red Cross GET-INFO line.

Perform in a musical group

The Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch 2nd Chance Thrift Store in Minot need volunteers to help with organizing clothes, hanging and taggin clothes, helping maintain store appearance, filling shelves and straightening the sales floor and helping out where needed. Provide community concert series

Assist individuals in riding horses - must be able to walk for 45 minutes

Answer crisis calls, assist in child care, children's activities, and fundraisers.

Office tasks, provide leadership to girls at different age levels.

Volunteers needed for the GreenCare for Troops program. This program provides free lawn service for deployed military members from all branches of the service and their families. Individuals and organizations can volunteer as well as lawn service companies.

Assist with activities, recreation, special mailings, and clerical activities.

The nonprofit organiztion Make-A-Way Foundation of North Dakota is seeking volunteers in the Minot area. The foundation grants wishes to North Dakota children with life-threatening medical conditions. Currently, the foundation has opportunities for volunteering which include area volunteer chair, wish granting, the speaker bureau, airport greeters, and special organizers.

The YWCA Minot is looking for male and female mentors for youth of ages 14-18.

Multiple functions.

Assit staff in providing services, deliver home meals

General park maintenance, including planting and mowing, etc.

Volunteer fire fighter, when needed

Activities related to theater.

Year-round, various jobs.

Reception, office work, marketing, maintenance, 4-H, FHA, competitions.

Give tours of the museum to guests.

Display/sort merchandise,pick up/deliver donations, other store duties.

Sort donated clothes, manage Coats for Kids, routine office duties.

Bathe, groom, walk animals, assist wtih feeding, cleanup, committees - prevention of cruelty to animals.

Provide office assistance, prep for shows, fundraise, prepare bulk mailings.

Community Action Opportunities Inc offers Teen Court Training for new youth volunteers ages 13-17. Youth volunteers serve as teen attorneys, court clerks, bailiffs, and jurors. Volunteers receive training from area attorneys, meet new friends and learn about the judicial system.

Convention & Visitor's Center

Donate blood at state regulated agency.

Volunteers are needed throughout the year for lights, costumes, makeup, set design, general cleaning, and other tasks for the Mouse River Players Community Theater. The theater also needs Scott bathroom tissue, facial tissues, paint-brushes, paint rollers and covers, paper plates, and Styrofoam cups, and pop and bottled water for the concession area.

Women's Way needs volunteer to help inform area women about free screening services.

Single parent support group, emergency shelter, office, other functions.

Sort donations, hang clothes, assist shoppers.

Read stories to children, aid in special programs.

Assist with child care duties, arts & crafts, clerical, and educational activities for birth to 5 years.

Organize/sort donated food to be distributed to AF families in hardship. POC is First Sergeant's Council.

Base housing families willing to open their homes to provide safe havens for children in emergencies.

Networking, recreational, informational, and fundraising programs
